I was born and raised in Pittsburgh PA. Well, that’s not completely accurate. I was born there, but I grew up in a small township called Mt. Lebanon in the city’s south hills. So if someone from the Pittsburgh area asked where I was from, I’d say Mt. Lebanon, but I would tell someone in California that I was from Pittsburgh. Both would be true.
These are my personal memories of Pittsburgh and the surrounding area, from 1941, when I was born, to 1968, when I moved away. They’re not always accurate. Like any kid, I had a lot of misconceptions of what was going on.
